Hello Charlotte,

Adding to what Bev has already told you,
The Halifax
Chronicle Herald published an obituary for:
Ernest C. Rowe (Saint John, New
Brunswick) - obit. publ. on Aug. 12, 1982

If you click on the "Ask a
Librarian" link for the Spring Garden Road Library in Halifax, NS
(www.halifaxpubliclibraries.ca/branches/locations/spring-garden-rd.html), and
give them the above information, I believe they will give you the obituary
(possibly for free, given you title and position... especially if you give
them a FAX number).

Here is the obituary for his brother, Colin Campbell Rowe
from the July 19, 1995 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
ROWE, Colin Campbell - 87,
Middleton, died July 17, 1995, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. He

officiating. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations to any charity.
The obituary lists a deceased first wife, Bernadine. You can view her death
registration at the Nova Scotia Vitals site that Bev gave you.

Here is the
obituary for Colin's second wife from the May 20, 1995 Halifax Chronicle
Herald:

Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born at Mount Hanley, she was a daughter of the

Subject: [nsroots] Information on the Rowe Family

I was wondering
if you could help me - I am the Senior Archivist for Boots UK
based at our
head office here in Nottingham.

I am currently doing some research into the
wife of our founder - Florence
Anne Boot (Lady Trent) nee Rowe and have found
reference in her will (dated
1943) to her nephews - Ernest Campbell Rowe who
had a property known as St
Brelade's Farm which was situated in Windsor and
Colin Campbell Rowe who is
also mentioned in the will owned a property in
Middleton known as St Helier's
farm.

I was wondering whether anyone had any
information on these two men that they
would be willing to share with me?
Many thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Charlotte McCarthy
